Central Virginia Sports Performance Seminar – April 27-28
For the past two years Jay DeMayo, Head Strength Coach and University of Richmond, has been putting on the Central Virginia Sports Performance Seminar.
Each year Jay seems to pull together an impressive list of speakers in the areas of strength and conditioning and sports science. After seeing this years line up I absolutely could not resist attending.
April 27
Mike Robertson – Corrective Exercise: Facts versus Fiction
Natalia Verkhoshansky – Shock Method and Plyometrics: Updates and In-depth Examination
April 28
Cal Dietz – Advanced Principles in Programing
Natalia Verkhoshansky – General Adaptation Syndrome and its Application in Sport Training
Val Nassedkin – Creation of Short and Long Term Training Goals Based on Biological Markers
Landon Evans – Physical Preparation in the NCAA: A Complimentary Approach
Joel Jamieson – Managing the Training Process
With a $150 registration fee it is very easy to call this seminar a steal! Not only is the list of presenters excellent but I have been talking to a number of people who will also be attending and with a higher level of attendees comes greater room for discussion and exchange of ideas. This should prove to be a wonderful event and I hope to meet some great people there.
